Don't Turn Your Back and Mind Your Own Business!

Hello friends! I started to write a post before this one but this topic is too important to ignore. Last summer I wrote a post with a odd title called "Where's Your Baby?" I wrote about the dangers of leaving young children alone in hot cars.  Today I read in our local news  that a child died after being left alone in a hot car.  This is the second one to die in two days according to the news report. That's two babies too many! One baby is too many!

So ladies  I'm encouraging you to not mind your own business! If you are walking in a parking lot don't be afraid to look at the cars you walk by. I'm not saying you need to go look inside each car. If you see a car seat make sure it's empty. If you see a little one alone in a car, call 911 immediately and get help from a passerby.  If the parent shows up before help arrives, let them know the authorities have been notified. Take their license number if needed especially if they are angry about you "Getting into their business ".

Remember! There  is absolutely NO EXCUSE for leaving a child in a car by themselves! None! Zero! Zip!

  1. Oh, you are SO right, sweet friend. I heard of a case recently, too, and it was just so heartbreaking. This does not have to happen, and it is hard to understand how anyone can justify such behavior. God bless you and keep you always, Regina!

    1. Thank you Cheryl. I can never understand. Parents just didn't do that when I was a kid.

  2. Always breaks my heart when I hear of it happening! So, so sad! I agree, no babies (or adults, and animals) left in a hot car!!

    1. Yes I agree about the adults and pets should never be left in a hot car. This is especially true for elderly people who might have dementia and might not remember how to get out.

  3. Great reminder, Regina. My heart breaks each time I hear of a child who dies this way (and it seems like there are a few each summer). This is definitely something we can all be on the lookout for.
