A Few Pictures

Okay, here are a few pictures. They are of the living room, dining room, laundry room  and kitchen.. We aren't done yet so please ignore the messes. I haven't posted pictures on my blog before so I hope I can figure it out.
The living room. I love it has a fireplace!
The kitchen. The kitchen island the previous owners gave it to us for free. I've always wanted a kitchen island but they are really expensive.

The laundry room. I want to decorate the washer and dryer. The look so boring.

  1. You have a lovely home, Regina! I, too love a kitchen island. I don't have one in my kitchen, but my utility room does. Weirdness, but I love it. How are y'all settling in? Have you made any new friends yet? Hugs

    1. Thank you Tammy. We are slowly settling in. I made a new friend with a sweet mom her is the prayer coordinator for Headcovering Movement website. We didn't even know we lived near each other! We were excited to meet each other. I haven't made any friends at church yet. I hope to change that. I'm more concerned with getting my almost 20 year old daughter and 15 year old daughter and husband making new friends. Maybe we get get involved in some activity at church.

  2. Dear Regina,
I love your new house! I can't believe you already have pictures up on the wall, and curtains hanging in the windows! I've been in my home for about a year and a half, and I'm still trying to figure out where I want to put things!

    1. Well the curtains actually came with the house including the blinds. I don't enjoy hanging curtains or blinds. I think the windows would go bare if I had to hang anything. Don't feel bad Jessica about still figuring out where to put things. Our next door neighbor, she told us they have been in their house for over a year and they still are unpacking stuff. That will most likely be us a year from now. Hee hee!

  3. You have a lovely home with a very functional kitchen. You are blessed.

WARNING: Some Parts of This Post Is Controversial!

I wonder what would happen if men had a march similar to the recent women's marches demanding their right not to be exposed to half dressed women in the workplace, in church, on the street, on magazine covers, etc? What if they marched demanding their right to be treated like men and not a child by their wives and girlfriends? To be allowed to be a dad instead of their child being killed in the womb? To not be portrayed on television and movies as idiots?

What would happen if they  wore (like inappropriately shaped hats the women wore on their heads to prove their womanhood ) on their heads inappropriately  shaped hats to prove their manhood?

Satan has been telling lies to women ever since The Garden:

" I can wear this see through dress! It's my body!"

"It's his problem if my low cut blouse causes him to lust"

"It's not a baby, it's tissue! It's my body!"

"Motherhood degrades women"

"We don't  need to submit to …

I married the love of my life. Back then I couldn't see 25 years into the future. I never imagined having three daughters.  We didn't anticipate struggles on both our parts but we are so grateful for the way the Lord has brought us through. Things are not perfect between but we continue to trust God and know that He can work things out.
And now for your giggling pleasure, here are a few pictures from our wedding. This was before I was into a conservative plain lifestyle. Sorry for the blurriness.

For Today

Looking out my window  ...It has stopped snowing. It's been a mixture of snow, hail and rain today and it is very cold and windy out.
I am thinking... about whether I should prayerfully and gently confront a sister in the Lord who is being dishonest about something, though I hoped I had imagined it, sadly today I discovered it was true.☹
I am thankful... We made it home safely today after going into town and getting caught in the snowstorm. God is good!
One of my favorite things... is to read Keepers at Home magazine

I am wearing... a purple flowered dress covered up by my apron and black slippers

I am creating... well I will be sewing up some hanging veil head coverings. Some of the ones I have are getting stained. My middle daughter suggested I save my white veils for church or other church related activities. My husband suggested that I keep the stained ones for when I clean the house. They are so wise in their suggestions…
