DIY Dollar Tree Tea Tray

I wanted to get a tea tray but nice ones are too expensive. I decided to do my own using all Dollar Tree items. All I did was get a 13 x 9 sheet pan and some stickers. In this case I used wall stickers because they were the prettiest. My daughter got some paints and Modge Podge, again Dollar Tree.
Basically all we did was painted the tray, let it dry and put the stickers on. We painted a couple of layers od Modge Podge, letting dry between layers. Easy Peasy!

  2. I absolutely love it!! What a fantastic idea and using the wall stickers was a nice idea.
I just might give this a try and maybe give them as special gifts to those I have a tea party for, just a thought. :)
It was so nice to visit here with you this afternoon as I have missed my time in the blogging community.
Thank you for your sweet visits and comments in regards to my dear mom and her health.
Mom is now home but still very weak and in need of much care. This is certainly long term.

    1. Thank you Jessica! The idea came to me at Dollar Tree. I had looked at plastic plates but they weren't big enough. I happened upon the kitchen area and saw the small cookie sheets. I saw they were just the right size. I'm not artistic enough to paint actually flowers but I remembered the wall stickers on the other side of the store so I grabbed those. Oh and leftover over stickers are perfect for brightening up my plain boring dishwasher.

WARNING: Some Parts of This Post Is Controversial!

I wonder what would happen if men had a march similar to the recent women's marches demanding their right not to be exposed to half dressed women in the workplace, in church, on the street, on magazine covers, etc? What if they marched demanding their right to be treated like men and not a child by their wives and girlfriends? To be allowed to be a dad instead of their child being killed in the womb? To not be portrayed on television and movies as idiots?

What would happen if they  wore (like inappropriately shaped hats the women wore on their heads to prove their womanhood ) on their heads inappropriately  shaped hats to prove their manhood?

Satan has been telling lies to women ever since The Garden:

" I can wear this see through dress! It's my body!"

"It's his problem if my low cut blouse causes him to lust"

"It's not a baby, it's tissue! It's my body!"

"Motherhood degrades women"

"We don't  need to submit to …

I married the love of my life. Back then I couldn't see 25 years into the future. I never imagined having three daughters.  We didn't anticipate struggles on both our parts but we are so grateful for the way the Lord has brought us through. Things are not perfect between but we continue to trust God and know that He can work things out.
And now for your giggling pleasure, here are a few pictures from our wedding. This was before I was into a conservative plain lifestyle. Sorry for the blurriness.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today

Looking out my window  ...It has stopped snowing. It's been a mixture of snow, hail and rain today and it is very cold and windy out.
I am thinking... about whether I should prayerfully and gently confront a sister in the Lord who is being dishonest about something, though I hoped I had imagined it, sadly today I discovered it was true.☹
I am thankful... We made it home safely today after going into town and getting caught in the snowstorm. God is good!
One of my favorite things... is to read Keepers at Home magazine

I am wearing... a purple flowered dress covered up by my apron and black slippers

I am creating... well I will be sewing up some hanging veil head coverings. Some of the ones I have are getting stained. My middle daughter suggested I save my white veils for church or other church related activities. My husband suggested that I keep the stained ones for when I clean the house. They are so wise in their suggestions…
