Bread Pudding and Tea

A few days ago Stephanie at TheEnchantingRose posted a delicious recipe for bread pudding. It goes great with afternoon tea!
The recipe didn't call for raisins but I topped mine with some raisins I had on hand. Also I used hamburger and hot dog buns. I had never made bread pudding before. I couldn't believe how easy it was and that I actually liked it!

  1. Oh YUM, Regina!
Stephanie was so sweet to make a meal for her grandma Deeann, my husband and myself this past week and our dessert was this delicious bread pudding, oh my was it ever good. It was like having bread pudding, cinnamon rolls and monkey bread all in one. :) I'm afraid if I make it I will have a problem stopping with one piece.

Have a happy remainder of your day~~

  7. I read Stephanie's post, too. It made me hungry for bread pudding. My recipe was my grandma's. It calls for evaporated milk. I rarely have that on hand except at the holidays.
    This batch looks so good!

    Be blessed,

  8. This really does sound delicious Regina! Isn't it wonderful to get real recommendations from friends that are tried and true! I made a fellow blogger's recipe for zucchini chocolate cake this week, and it is just SO good! We have an abundance of zucchini in the garden now, and it was perfect to use. Your bread pudding made me hungry, lol! A cup of hot tea would be lovely with it :) Hugs to you, my new friend :)

WARNING: Some Parts of This Post Is Controversial!

I wonder what would happen if men had a march similar to the recent women's marches demanding their right not to be exposed to half dressed women in the workplace, in church, on the street, on magazine covers, etc? What if they marched demanding their right to be treated like men and not a child by their wives and girlfriends? To be allowed to be a dad instead of their child being killed in the womb? To not be portrayed on television and movies as idiots?

What would happen if they  wore (like inappropriately shaped hats the women wore on their heads to prove their womanhood ) on their heads inappropriately  shaped hats to prove their manhood?

Satan has been telling lies to women ever since The Garden:

" I can wear this see through dress! It's my body!"

"It's his problem if my low cut blouse causes him to lust"

"It's not a baby, it's tissue! It's my body!"

"Motherhood degrades women"

I married the love of my life. Back then I couldn't see 25 years into the future. I never imagined having three daughters.  We didn't anticipate struggles on both our parts but we are so grateful for the way the Lord has brought us through. Things are not perfect between but we continue to trust God and know that He can work things out.
And now for your giggling pleasure, here are a few pictures from our wedding. This was before I was into a conservative plain lifestyle. Sorry for the blurriness.

For Today

Looking out my window  ...It has stopped snowing. It's been a mixture of snow, hail and rain today and it is very cold and windy out.
I am thinking... about whether I should prayerfully and gently confront a sister in the Lord who is being dishonest about something, though I hoped I had imagined it, sadly today I discovered it was true.☹
I am thankful... We made it home safely today after going into town and getting caught in the snowstorm. God is good!
One of my favorite things... is to read Keepers at Home magazine

I am wearing... a purple flowered dress covered up by my apron and black slippers

I am creating... well I will be sewing up some hanging veil head coverings. Some of the ones I have are getting stained. My middle daughter suggested I save my white veils for church or other church related activities. My husband suggested that I keep the stained ones for when I clean the house. They are so wise in their suggestions…
